Washing Powder/gel/conditioner?

Ask a Question

What is your best washing powder/gel and conditioner you use for laundry? Bio stuff irritates my sons skin. So I always use non bio stuff. I have surcare powder but it leaves clothes a bit stiff even with conditioner. I also tried ecover and other liquids with less chemicals but I found it gave my clothes slight whiff?.. I would like something which would wash well and leave clothes soft ..also that it wouldn't cost an arm and a leg since I have a baby and a lot of washing constantly 😂😂

I use daz or surf with yellow comfort. Powder straight into the drum not in draw. Smells so much better and dont clog draw up.

Ann1984 does the powder washes out ok? No residue leftover on clothes? Also what temperature you wash your clothes on? I usually do at 40.

BlueOrchid put in drum before clothes have had no issues plumber I know said that this way the powder doesn’t clog pipes. I wash on a 30 short wash. Was using pods and gels for a bit but they made my washing and machine stink.

I use the Almat powder from Aldi. My husband and son both have sensitive skin and have never had any reaction with this. Clothes wash really well, smell nice and are soft. I do a lot of washing too! I've used Ariel and Fairy before and this is just as good for a fraction of the price.

BlueOrchid the powder has always desolved properly for me, never had an issue. I normally wash it on 40c. Yes I have tried their gel, it is excellent too.

It is Aldi's own brand of laundry detergent, so unless you shop in Aldi you won't have seem it before as it's not sold elsewhere.

I don’t know if this will help but I’ve started using a dash of white vinegar instead of fabric conditioner. It doesn’t make your clothes smell and is good for cleaning your washing machine. Took me ages to start using it!

Do you put it in the space for fabric softener in the drawer or straight into the drum?

Just pour a little in the drawer where the conditioner usually goes.

we use SMOL which is excellent and is pretty good price - they just send us a box once a month although we usually take 6 weeks to get through them so just put put the dates back.
