I don’t think I could ever eat any of them. They’re marvellous to look at, and must have taken ages to create
My DIL is there at the moment - she made a smoking dragon for the Stephen King/King of Horror section and got a Bronze for her competition piece 'Warrior'. Hours and hours of work.
Wow that’s cool! She must be so talented and truly dedicated to the craft - good to have around whenever you need a fancy cake
Your DIL is a very talented lady to be able to produce something like that, it truly is an art form.
I think this is more art made with food ingredients rather than something to have with a cup of tea. They take so long to create I can't imagine they would taste very fresh. Although, it would be fun to serve someone a big slice of the Predator's head
Wow, just wow, makes my cup cakes look rubbish in comparison! I might just make some in the morning though, guests for afternoon tea.
I used to watch a programme when we were planning our wedding called extreme cake makers. It was set in America and it was about different bakers who made show stopping cakes like that. The person would tell them what they wanted and then you would see them making it. The amount of hours and effort that went into them was amazing and they always looked incredible. To me this isn't baking it is art.
I agree. The thought process involved is definitely next level, and I’m going to guess the physics behind it is more important than how it tastes. So definitely a piece of art...opposed to a piece of cake
