Is WH Smith the Worst High Street Store?
Ask a Question
So it’s won the award again, the other time a couple of years ago, and I’m not surprised. I rarely go into one, and I never find good deals in them. However, they’re still surviving, so I give them that
ah yes! The post office is perhaps the reason why they have any footfall. And even then I’d rather go elsewhere
There is a post office in them? Can't remember the last time I was in one. Possibly college years so that's 20+ ago. They just don't look appealing in the slightest
Didn’t even realise they were still on the High Street as they have shut all the ones near me down rightly so
They probably do well with all the travel stores around.. airports, train stations etc, we've also got one in the main entrance of the local hospital.
Not sure they deserve to be called the worst., maybe one of the most expensive, but apart from that my local store is pretty clean and tidy and the staff are as good as any other store in town. Post office area is a pain thou as there is always a queue due to half the counters not being open.
Personally I would rate Curry's as one of the worst based on poor customer service.
I have to admit its been years since i went in to WH Smiths. It always seems cluttered and stuffy with pompous assistants !
It's not the worst... I only really go to collect the freebies from O2 haha. And sometimes to use the post office. But you're right I never buy anything in there. Can get it all cheaper online
I think they survive, because most of them has post office inside and we need to go there when we want to post something...With kids it is horrible, because they have such a bad layout, so they always cry, because u walk true toys and than sweets.
