Do you use Face Wash or soap?
Ask a Question
I have sensitive skin so use fragrance free face wash like Simple Face Wash. Soap just dries my skin out!
At the moment I use Boots tea tree and witch hazel foaming face wash, it is gentle on skin. I've only used soap if I have run out of face wash, but it is always simple soap. I sometimes use a vitamin e face wash from the body shop. I always buy the boots one when on 3 for 2 or with my points and I get given the body shop one as a gift. I am going to see if Aldi sells any fave wash next time I'm in to see if I can save some money!
SAdeals MrsCraig I have got the face washes from Aldi, they are 85p each! The gel one seems quite runny to me so I just use that as a face wash before moisturiser and make up in the mornings. Neither of them are very good for make up removal so I use my trusted Nivea scrub and then sometimes follow up with the other Lacura moisturising wash. Out of them all my go to would be the Nivea!
AliceBell64468 thanks for letting me know. I would be using it in the mornings before moisturiser, never tried the Nivea one before. My husband tends to steal my face wash so I try to buy ones that are suitable for both of us!
AliceBell64468 thanks for sharing this. I've never tried the Nivea one. I know the Nivea skincare is not suitable for my skin but perhaps this will work. I'll check it out online!
My daughter suffers terrible acne and the only thing clears it is dove bar soap blue and white box. I have started using as been getting boils from face mask and after a week I have noticed fab results.
I have sensitive skin too and buy my face wash from bodyshop, Ive noticed soap really does dry my face out and make me feel like my skin is cracking.
chelseaturpin I do love the Body Shop for Body Butters but not really checked on face wash. Will do next time I pass. Thanks for sharing
im like you, my skin is super sensitive and usually either break out in patches of dry skin or my face feels tight.
i use face wash then use vitamin e oil to help. which has actually helped my skins patchiness from the previous dry skin issues
I use Aldiβs Hot Cloth Cleanser which is very similar to Liz Earle one. Itβs also comes with a muslim cloth and itβs also vegan.
I have been using the CeraVe cleanser I received to test for the home tester website a couple of months ago. I love it
Moonstone22 I've heard some very good reviews about the crave brand. I'm currently using their moisturiser which is very good. I will check out the cleanser too. Thanks for sharing.
Currently I am using Sanctuary face wash, to use up last year's Christmas gifts. Love the smell and it doesn't dry my skin out. I personally don't like soap (bar) I prefer liquid soap.
Iβve never used face wash or soap particularly on my face and itβs held reasonably well
Face wash. Soap, unless specified its for the face, isn't for use on the skin. It will leave it feeling dry and tight
SAdeals Errr... Face wash. Can't do with soap. I tend to buy for sensitive skin, although thankfully mine isn't, others who pinch it have
Firedragon aww that's really sweet of you to take other people's preferences into consideration. Good on ya!
AlisonHarr47172 . It's the popular answer. Even for hand soap, it seems liquid is a better option
Neither. I now just use a konjac sponge to clean my face, with no added extras. Itβs gentle and easy
i use soap, but i have oily complex so i know my routine wouldnt suit people with dry or sensitive skin
SAdeals couldnt agree more!! i just do whats right for me ! its like with my hair- i have super curly hair and theres so many dos and donts, but again i just do whats right for me.
I always use a moisturising antibacterial liquid soap, ever since i have been doing this my skin has cleared up and much much cheaper than other products for the same use.
make sure itβs a really nourishing one.
i still cleanse and moisturise but it makes a world of difference
Iβve got two face washes now that I have acne. I use the CeraVe SA Renewing cleanser on occasion and the Sukin sensitive face wash daily. Before that, I used Dove Beauty Bars.
