What's the First Thing You're Going to Do When We Get out of Lockdown?
Ask a Question
I'm going to buy a really good bottle of shampoo. Fed up of just using ends of old bottles. What are your plans?
kfe202 I think it will be for a lot of people. I do hope that they stick to it and release the restrictions. Hopefully another lockdown isn't coming as I could see an uprising coming.
I'm looking forward to going to the cinema and restaurants again. There have been a lot of delayed film releases.
You're so right about delayed film releases. Which film are you most looking forward to seeing?
kfe202 the main one is Dune. I'm interested to see Denis Villeneuve's take on this sci-fi classic. Then the James Bond film No Time To Die, which was originally meant to be released in April 2020. Plus, I hope Wonder Woman 1984 gets a re-release, my area was in a local lockdown when it was released in December. These are the type of films I prefer to watch on a big screen for a first time viewing.
MctashMctash That is almost exactly what I was going to say. No mad dash to make any major changes. Too many people have slipped up when other lockdowns have been been ended.
davidstockport ey i ve never ever even meet or seen my niece she now 1y old but weve all missed out of time with loved 1s just gotta sit tight right i m not sure what will happen when this lock downs lifted but these replys aint filling me with much confidence ekkk hopefully as nation we will have learnt surely?
You're right, I think. It might take a while to get all the way back to normal. But we should be able to get some freedoms back??
davidstockport You're so sensible. Maybe it would be better to hold back and go slow for a while before any big changes.
We are hoping that come August it will be safe enough to have a big family barbecue to make up for all the missed birthdays, Christmas, celebrations we have missed being together.
Glitterandgold let’s hope so. That will be truly something. I cannot wait to see my family
Okay do you want me t notify you when its safe i ve had text bout my jab just waiting till im better till i book
Omg imacheap other half made bird table/ house thing for me mams birthday all sudden hes an expert and im a wally i let him cut my fridge tbh he dint do bad job
I did my fellas hair he was going to shave it so if I made a mess wouldn't matter Mctash
Not bad wouldn't even try with my kids though except to keep out of their eyes Mctash
My sons hair has got so long I have to put it in a pony to get him in bath/shower kfe202
I’m going to do exactly what I did before the pandemic and stay home as I have severe anxiety
Oh no hrdaniels i have anxiety to it can be so bad but you now theres alot people that may be able to help in chat maybe open chat topic you d see what i mean so many people suffer you not on your own
hrdaniels1980That sounds like agoraphobia, I suspect there'll be a lot of people, who didn't have it before, who have been given the chance to develop it.
I assumed you had anxiety or panic attacks if and when you went out before. Mctash (unfortunately it's the kind of complaint that because it can't be seen, those who don't understand think can be cured if you "pull yourself together") no two cases are exactly the same, and what works for one person might not work for another.
davidstockport yeah i understand cos not seen that common bit speech pull ya self together thats what my docter tryed to say to me was like but gotta be worth shot some times talking if only little can help some1 right
I'm just going to carry on as I am now. There are things I'd like to do, people I'd like to see, but I'd rather wait until this is over.
I'm going to take my family out to a nice restaurant and spoil them as I've really missed getting out with them.
Bbq with family and friends. Lots of food and gin. Missing that time,so cant wait to see them
I'm looking forward to having plans for the weekend, meeting friends, lunch out, cocktails,
going to the theatre, seeing live music, going to the seaside, the list is endless
I think meeting friends who I haven't seen since December 2019, as we live some distance from each other,we normally make a day of it. Have lunch in York, see a matinee theatre performance and then have cocktails before I catch a train home kfe202
beccatavender You're so right. That sounds like an amazing day out. Here's hoping they do actually end restrictions so that you can do everything you have planned.
I'm waiting for somebody to say they're going to a good divorce lawyer. It must for many have caused problems,
(usually January just after the "festive season" is the busiest time for divorce lawyers, I shudder to think how busy they're going to be after over a year of "togetherness" ).
You're so right! Zoom gets very boring very quickly. Roll on the day when we can have face-to-face conversations again!
Travel to see my sister. We have both had first jab and both live alone so once I have the go ahead to travel further than local I will be off, I miss her very much.
If its when lockdown ends ( march 8th ) i really dont know just because i dont think we can do anything then, something i am looking forward to though is when we can play sports with other people outside our household. I would just love to have a football match ( without breaking my ankle ) with my mates. Other than i would love to go to a football match or go to the cinema.
