We will probably never somoletely cure cancer that's true, because there are literally thousands of types and each one requires different treatments but surely if we can even find a cure for some of them that's going ti raise survival loads. To say cancer is the best death? If you've ever watched someone die of cancer you will know it's a horrible painful death and yes family get the cha ce to say goodbye but they also watch their loved one fade away. I lost all respect for the writer when I read that I'm afraid

dimelow06 no it's defo ately not bur I would say a painless death is better than one from cancer, how anyone can say death from cancer is the best death is seriously deluded

Does a cure really exist for cancer? Do other planets have living beings? Will we ever see God?

The answer to those questions is unknown.

But to get to the point, drugs are a business and if a cure exists then they may lose enormous chunks of money and you know how corporations love the green bills.

Tell me, why is the media and companies trying to get vape banned everywhere but not tobacco? $$$

I refuse to give/donate money to charities and rather give the needy food. However, it is your money and you're free to give it to whatever charity, research team, etc you want.

Also, would I want a blood transfusion if necessary? I'd rather take my chances with my own than get infected. It's your body, treat it with care.

I think cancer research is absolutely vital and if people choose to support this financially then it is their choice. I personally don't, but not because I disagree but having lost my brother at 26 to a failed heart transplant and my father recently to Alzheimer's (after watching him suffer more and more) I support them and the NSPCC. BUT as for cancer being the best way to die what absolute rubbish, I have watched it in other people close to me and everytime it has been horrific.

To be honest, I think this article is ridiculous. There are not better or worse ways to die. My father died from cancer and the last two months were terrible, for him but also for my mother and me seeing how he was suffering and deteriorating. Thanks to cancer research, some types of cancer have changed from an inevitable death to something that can be treated and cured. Also, the side effects of treatments are now more manageable in most cases and the quality of life of patients have improved considerably. Cancer can't be cured by antibiotics or a vaccine, but there are other ways that must be found or improved

There is no good way to die, all that is certain is we will all die eventually. We all hope that we don't submit to a debilitating disease in the meantime, but as far as it goes, whilst multimillion pound companies control the drugs available, even if the cures for certain conditions are found they will be too expensive for the likes of you and me.

I prefer to donate money to smaller charities where it makes a bigger difference. I'm pretty cynical in that I don't like donating to causes that are so vital that I think they should be totally funded by the state, as it props up questionable spending choices. If I'm walking down a high street with a bag of stuff to donate, I'm most likely to give it to The Dog's Trust.
