What's the Wisest Thing You've Learnt or Been Taught in Life?

Iv learnt that time is precious. Iv learnt not to waste it on people who dont deserve it & to treasure those that do. I always tell my kids time is the one thing we cant get back & tomorrow is never promised to us so use it wisely.
To be honest I have learnt or been taught to many to mention BUT that's ok as long as you learn from them! Even better if you pass on your knowledge to someone who will appreciate it and at least take it on board....
Be there for your parents at every beck n call no matter how big or small it is cause to still have them both at 85 and 90 is massive these days and I'm so greatful to them both
Your incredibly lucky! I lost both my parents a few years ago close together & miss them every day but especially this time of year. Enjoy every second you can with them. X
this month I lost my mum I hadn't been to see her as much as I should and never got to say goodbye to her, but stayed by her bed for 3 days till she took her last breath but I hope she could hear me while I talked to her my lesson that was the hard way I was being selfish as I found looking after my mum for the last 17 years took a toll on me once I got carers in I could breathe again
But time is precious
Having also been at my parents bedsides till they passed I think they are more aware then we think at the time of us. I'm sure your mum knew you were there & it would have given her comfort. Caring for someone is blimmin tough ( I cared for my mum for a few years) & it's important to take time for yourself & not feel guilty xx
Iv learnt to cherish my all family my mum died suddenly from a heart attack and I didn’t get to say goodbye then 3 months later my dad told me he had chest pains and I had to drag him to the hospital because he wouldn’t go he kept saying it’s only a bit of cold but we later found out he was having a heart attack and they rush him straight in for a op he couldn’t thank me enough after for getting him to the hospital I’m so glad I did or I could of lost both my parents in less then 6 months apart
Sorry to hear about your mum, losing a parent is tough but I'm glad your dad is ok. Thank god you got him to go to the hospital. Hope you both have a lovely Christmas.
My children have taught me the most...far too much to mention but unconditional love and letting people know you love them....even if its only a humble hug....it speaks volumes.
To look left and right before crossing the road. Without that I wouldn‘t live long enough to learn much else.
