What to Do When Football On
Ask a Question
What do people do when the football is on? I don’t watch it and I am just wondering what to do instead.
Watch it... the question should be what do you do when EastEnders Coronation Street Emmerdale etc is on TV
What with tennis, horse racing, football etc I am getting mightily fed up with sport taking over all the main terrestrial channels. I imagine that, taken individually, more people do not want to watch than do and I don't understand why they cannot put the sport on other channels. E.g. BBC 4 does not come on until 7 so why not put on there and move other less popular programmes.
I absolutely hate sport and not sure why those of us who enjoy our early evening programmes should be deprived. As to what to do, I try to keep busy cooking or reading and doing extra housework.
Only watch the euros, World Cup, the olympics and Paralympic.
Otherwise I watch some shows on Netflix or Amazon on my iPad. Read a book or just potter around the house.
I walk the dog and have been making some crochet baby blankets and cardigans for my friend who’s baby is due next month
I watch programs I’ve recorded instead of football or Netflix. I often record a late night film to while away the time. I’m not a sporty person so don’t follow any type or game.
I bake, do exercise, read magazines, do puzzles. Can do gardening until it gets dark or until I’ve had enough of getting bitten to death by mozzies! Do you have any hobbies or is there something you’ve always wanted to try doing?
I love sport. I don't think that Lynibis would be able to put up with me.
Currently watching 3 football games a day and the odd rugby league game too.
MrsChimp doesn't really mind, but if she wants to watch something else, we have a SkyQ box in the other room along with Prime, Netflix, Disney+ and Discovery+. Got 100s of DVDs too, so lots of choices.
Ha ha, you are right there lol. But I would do same as Mrs Chimp and watch something else in another room.
Each to their own I say and I would have no problem living with someone who loved football but there is only me and I have 3 TVs!
Lynibis I'm very lucky with MrsChimp because she really isn't fussed. She quite enjoys watching Wales play, especially the rugby, even though she's English.
It's quite rare that she'll go in the other room to watch something, but there's always the option. Mostly, she'll be with me and mess around on her phone.
What football?! Only joking, as the weather has been so nice I have spent a lot of time in my garden and hardly had the Tv on.
