When Kids Go Back to School

Ask a Question

Will I be wrong to ask teacher not to base work on around what’s happening now, how they felt etc. The teacher has been sending work home based on the virus. We didn’t mind doing poster on provention etc but the kids are upset enough with being reminded when back to normal when ever that might be.

They just all going to be happy to see their friends

They know that kids are going to be massively behind. A lot of kids aren't doing any work. Some are of course, but even they will not be getting the education they should be.

MeestairChrees the work sent home is so stupid and lazy of her that she has bought a book that looks like pound land ones and took a picture of the page expecting the kids to sit and do from the screen onto paper no links to download page etc it's laziness. I have bought the books myself and printing my own most of the children are not capable of doing it as have certain needs. But expected to do same as their peers

You can ask for the work not to be based on the virus etc but teachers have to base work on the curriculum and we often use current events to help pupils understand and process their learning. If you are not comfortable with the work she is currently sending home then simply don't do it. If it is going to upset your children and affect their mental health then do something different with them. Maybe do the same activity but with a different topic, if that is possible.
