When Was the Last Time You Had Your Photos Printed?
Ask a Question
I only print photos when I use them to personalise cards, so perhaps only a few times a year, usually for birthdays & Christmas. Otherwise, I don’t maintain photo albums anymore, whereas I used to get them printed when I was younger so my family had something to look through now & again
Do you still print photos & what do you use them for?
We print our photos on our home printer, it's usually of the Grandchildren as we create albums for them to have when their older, usually all fun photos from sleepovers and days out etc.
hspexy Agreed, they don't know yet that we've started them but hope when their older it will be something nice for the to look at. We usually add funny little captions to the photos. I can remember the days when all the films we took were sent off to Truprint to be developed, we'd be lucky to get a couple of decent photos from a 24 exposure reel. Things are so different the days.
I had several photos printed a few months ago, grandchildren mainly. I wanted them framed to show on display.
Pjran I used to frame our photos but we end up framing everything & ran out of space (technically, we ought to just replace photos, but we can’t bear to do that as it usually captures moments we want to keep forever - you can tell from that that we are hoarders lol). For us, photos are precious & we can’t throw any of them away - so we try not to print any
Aside from passport style pictures, I haven't had any photographs printed in over 5 years. The last I went to Snappy Snaps. They are good but can be fairly expensive. I've noticed there are an increasing number of Asian style photobooth shops in my area. People go in with their friends to get fun photos that you can change the background or manipulate the photo during the editing process. They print a physical strip of photos and give you a QR code to download digital prints. The shops do seem busy when I'm passing by.
Usually some get printed yearly as we make calenders for family. We've made memory books when we've been on big family holidays in the past and given the book as a Christmas present to my parents
The last time that I had a photo printed was via a website for a birthday card earlier this year.
There used to be something exciting about waiting for our photos to be developed after a holiday or special occasion, but I also remember the disappointment when we'd find those stickers declaring that a photo was out of focus.
I get my kids cards from moon pig that has all photos of them and I also use free prints got loads of them just never put them in a photo album keep saying I'll pick one up but always forget
Just recently I won to have some photos printed on 02 Priority app with the blue Monday promotion. You had a choice of sizes but if you went bigger, you got less pictures. I chose to have ten smaller pictures and when they arrived I was pleasantly surprised with the size and results. I am hoping to frame them as they are mainly of my granddaughter and one of the cats.
The picture to me looks like she has had a photo shoot done. I just love the pose and background.
eyeballkerry What an adorable kitty! She's so regal. Love the paw placement. I would have to get one printed if she were my cat.

Sherrifffroggy It was taken in my daughter’s bedroom but it was not the attention of a pose it was just the way she was sitting. But it is one of the best of her. I take so many cat pictures. We have a few photos around the home but these have come from the old style cameras. I did like flicking through the odd photos. My mum recently gave me some from our holiday in Tunisia in 1987. Brings back good memories. My daughter had some studio photos printed our granddaughter so we have a couple of them framed.
I think it was a few years ago. It some kind of boots competition where you put in your email address and could win different codes to get different thing for eg, some standard 6x5 prints or one A4. I can't remember what code it was I won but I got a lot of photos for free. I just entered the code on the machine at boots. I then framed the photos. That was the last time. As morbid as it sounds, I just think nowadays any photos I print will be in landfill soon enough due to my age. I used print off photos when I was younger, but now, what's the point?
I get them printed occasionally only when we have enough for free prints. The only one maintained is from comic con.
I used to print at home but because I don't buy proper ink quality not as good
Hopefully we will do some later this month
I'm just about to order some in the next few days with Snapfish as their prints are currently 9p which seems to be the cheapest and they are good quality. I also like making photo albums for specific holidays etc. Nothing beats looking through photos years later. I also have a picture pocket that contains 40 photos on each side that I change occasionally.
Swimmer94 9p per photo is very reasonable. I now & again look online for photo book deals to get photos printed as gifts - sometimes companies have new customer offers where they only for delivery, which is decent. I’ve not seen a good offer like that for a while, but it’s coming up to that time of year again so I’m on the lookout for deals
Last had photos printed for my 60th birthday invitations last year, hardly gacd any of the invitations out so the photos of me are in my kitchen drawer!
I also had photos printed onto those banners...
It feels like I've been using digital cameras for 15 years or more but have used special offers on occasion where you can get digital prints very cheaply maybe twice over that time.
I have loads of photos on my phone of holidays and occasions. I was thinking about getting some printed as you tend to forget what's on there after a while. There's a company called photo box that turn your photos into a book which is quite a nice keepsake. They have 50% until 6th October. It's good to look back at your memories.
I think the last time I got a photo printed was just the ones you get as school photos of my son, think it might have been his year 9 photo I'm sure so roughly 5 years ago now
