When Do You Put up Christmas Decor?
Ask a Question
when do you put up Christmas decor and what type of decor do you use?
I don't put up my Christmas decorations until two weeks before Christmas. I always have a different theme. Last year everything was gold and black. I do put up a small crystal growing Christmas tree that has crystals sprouting from the branches in the middle of November because it takes a while for the crystals to grow
On the 1st of December usually, or if it falls on a weekday and I'm too busy then the Saturday that follows the 1st.
So glad you said the 1st GO501. That's me too and the usual thing is that I feel like the only one putting up the decorations so early. I like to put them up over a number of days and not have all the fun in one day but the first thing to go up is always the tree with the lights. The tree is the best part for me. What is the best part of putting up the decorations for you?

There are pages and pages on this subject and recently about 17 Christmas topics were posted in a few days. Guidelines do say no duplicates so it is always worth doing a search before posting.
It was always after 18th by which time my daughters birthday things had been cleared away. 14 days is long enough. The exception being Elf
Am doing 15th day school finishes and back down New Year’s Day the smart meter does over time hate how much they cost so reducing the number of lights this year to tree only
When my kids were small, we'd go all out at the end of November. Now they're grown, I can't be bothered at all and I don't bother apart from an outdoor Merry Xmas light and my indoor antique China tree....much easier and still a little Christmassy
I usually wait until around Dec 10th to put mine up.I have friends who put them up in November, which seems so weird to me.
Usually a couple of weeks before Christmas. We don't go overboard with the decorations, we prefer to keep it simple.
