When Do You Start Your Christmas Shopping?

Other

The next 4 month starting the first week in August I shop for presntes. Then in september I make a Christmas cake. Then the 1st of November I make a Christmas pudding. When do you put up your Christmas tree up. My go's up the 1st of December and warp the Christmas presntes up and put them under the Christmas tree. Then 10 days be for Christmas I do a big shop for Christmas and New year. And in between all this I knit jumpers scarfs and blankets to give has presntes has well. I all so do sewing has well. Come Christmas I am all ready for it. Fingers cross.

I usually start when the kids go back to school after the summer holidays. Get a bit in each week.

I normally start shopping round about November time, but we only have a few people to buy for, so it doesn't take me that long. I start budgetting for it around August time.

I usually wait until late November, but if I see suitable presents before that I'll pick them up.

nicolajaynehend I only got a doll for my daughter and an other toy which was not in the deals, but it has the best price in the year right now. Later I will get into it more, around October will get all the presents for everyone.

Ive done mine except for my step sons money ... He lives 250 miles from me and his Dad so he asks for money .... my son and daughter get both pressies and money but same amount and then their partners get the same so .. 5 adults at £150 each ... used to get more but we can't do it now we both don't work me having bad epilepsy and fibro and depression and my husband just in remission from throat cancer .. hes awaiting major reconstruction on his jaw because the radiotherapy had softened it that much it broke whilst he was eating a potato at Sunday dinner ... but he can't have it yet as they say the bone too soft 😞 then family members n friends ... so £150 quid to find and a pressie for the hubster and im done x thank the lord i start in sales n buy something weekly x

So sorry to hear about your husband. And you are lucky to have your pressies. Money tight for me has well. Buy now I would have one or two Christmas pressies. But this year I am finding harder to get any thing. And I all so get little pressies has well. But still not find any thing. Some time in August has a sale on. And I've all so got to get the dogs budgies horse all a little Christmas pressies. My dad is the hard' s to get. My mum passed away 12 years ago. So it's dad friends and family. Just keep looking and keep my fingers cross.

It tends to be in Autumn; around September. I generally have a fair idea of what people like and what to buy so I keep an eye out for good deals from then on.

I plan to start it in August but last year I didn't get time to, waited until November and got ripped off massively because all the prices had gone up! Will be more organised this year 😂

I suppose I shop for Christmas and birthdays all the time. The earliest I have got a Christmas pressie for someone was in February. I also keep my eye out for those stocking fillers all year round for the kids.

Hi nicolajaynehend I can see you like to get a head start 😊 I don’t really start shopping until nearer the time. I might pick up stuff throughout the year and save them to give to someone, but I’m not usually looking for them early. I like shopping for Xmas stuff during the lead up as I find it more exciting
