That’s beautiful tara73ziva. What a thoughtful, personal gift. I never really got the hang of knitting or crocheting. I think it is because I’m left handed.

tara73ziva I might give it a go. These aids weren’t around when I was young and it was tricky trying to copy a right handed knitter! I did manage to produce some very dodgy looking plain knit scarves, so there may be a knitter hidden inside me. I’d love to have ago at crocheting.

Mightymoo This would've been easier if you'd told us what you don't like doing. Are your usual interests food based, books, self improvement, exercise? Are there any crafts that you have been tempted to try but they seemed like too much effort?

I'm going to try candles/wax melts. I'm still collecting the bits to start the job but it's in progress.

sunny101 i make wax melts and they are so easy to do. Look on etsy at a shop called 'freshskinbeauty' they sell really good quality fragrance oils at really good prices and its free delivery. Start with a tester bottle (10ml) incase you dont like the scent. Good luck!

PinkElephant26 Thank you. I'm up to speed on the method just some of the last bits needed to get started - that's where this site comes into play with some of the bargains. I've already got fragrance oils, soy wax, dyes and thermometer. I can't wait to play. 😀

sunny101 amazon is good for silicone moulds, or wilkos do little glass jars (pack of 12) for candles. I must say personally i think the mica dyes are much better than other dyes.

make a list of folk who would appreciate you dropping them an email/letter/card/Facetime/FB message and then work your way through at different times .... it's good to chat and you'll make their day! P.S. make a list of stuff to chat about too in case you dry up .... and ask them for their news and listen ...👍

Reading, documentaries on Netflix, puzzles/crosswords, baking, diamond art. I previously made a couple of picture frames with Harry Potter Lego figures in, painted the frames, glued Lego bricks in to hold the figures on.

Currently have a 5d diamond art awaiting to be started, it’s for my husband but between work at the moment and studying, I’ve no started it yet.

Find something that appeals and give it a try x

Its not often i do get to sit down or be 'bored' but I usually come on LD, check my emails etc, read the news page online, make wax melts, make something else (using my cricut maker) or watch something on youtube.

PinkElephant26 Yep ...that's pretty much me too .... I can only remember being bored when at 'social occasions' and being stuck with someone who I didn't like/know having to make small talk! At home I have too many hobbies and stuff like LD to do.... and I seem to be spending more time catching up with friends via Facetime/phone/etc or email too. I agree with you kimcress too

I rarely get bored at home. There are so many distractions, such online film and music streaming services.

I've been thinking about this topic since last reply .... same as eyeballkerry I guess ..I genuinely can't remember when I was last bored .... must've been well over ten years ago at those interminable meetings! Now I seem to do something ... Google for help with it ....click on allied link ideas and then I'm off on another list of things to try. It's the same whether it's recipes, how to fix a creak, how to do calligraphy .... I just end up going in another direction and making an even longer list of things to 'try'

Looking back over this topic it's really disappointing to see that your total involvement was one comment 'tara73ziva wow that's amazing. Great job'

We all took the time to engage in your created topic and you didn't engage with any of us apart from putting a like on them. I really hope you involve yourself in the new topic you've created.
