i prepare all my veg the night before peel it all and cover with water ... then roll the pigs in blankets ... and hubby prepare the turkey and beef ready for cooking ... all the table set then early in morn the cooker goes on and the turkey n beef is placed in over and switched on just so the beef has time to sit before its sliced and the turkey can be put on the table ready for carving
We use prepare the veg the night be for and the turkey. The turkey went in the oven ready to be turned on early in the morning. We layed the table after breakfast. Has I am now on my own not sure what to do for Christmas meal. Might get a small gammon.

We do ours on Christmas day. Start just after breakfast and it is ready mid afternoon. It is just the two of us, so we don't need a lot of food.
i like it all prepared and there is just us two unless we go to our daughters and she wont lets us do anything at all .. but not sure this year as they are moving into their new house next weekend . not done bad married since 18 n just bought their second house but this ones alot bigger and hads a conservatory on the back ... so proud of them bout x
jojowane67 We have always done ours on the day. My mum and mother in law do it all on the day as well, which is why we do it on the day.
