Where's the Best Place to Buy a Mobile Phone??

I want to get my partner a new phone for Christmas as his is ancient! He said he is not bothered as he only uses it for calls and texts, so I just want a basic Android phone. Any ideas?
If he only uses it for calls and texts you wonder why he uses android at all, you'd think a basic non-smart phone would suffice. In contrast I use my phone for pretty much everything but calls and texts. I never really text myself and only use it for calls very occasionally.
Ebay, Amazon, aliexpress are good options but really you need to decide on what phone would be ideal first, maybe there is something they would want to improve, battery life etc, maybe a smaller size.
Black friday is the ideal day to buy I would of thought.
He uses it for calls and texts but he does use my phone for the Internet on the odd occassion or he'll ask me to look something up, so that's why I was looking for an Android like mine. I've had mine for a few years now so I was wondering where the best places these days are the best to purchase one.
Have a look on eBay. There's loads of refurbished smartphones and standard mobile phones on there.
