Why Can’t We Post Deals from a Sale That’s Already Been Posted About?

Help

Hi Tom

Aplogies for the confusing title,

I posted a deal last week. It was the Sleek makeup half price at Superdrug one. I soon got a notification that it was a duplicate & the post was removed. BUT after I posted that deal I also posted one for a particular item in that sale, as the price stood out to me and the sale had many items, so I thought it’s ok to post. Long story short, I soon got a notification that both have been removed. The sale post is understandable, but the other post which was for a liquid lipstick from around 50 items in that sale was also removed. I don’t understand why my post was removed. People post about individual items from sales all the time and nothing happens.

Upon clicking ‘already shared it’ - it takes me to this page:

Image which is the ENTIRE sale, & it wasn’t for that one particular item, so my post wasn’t a duplicate 🤔

Morning jayy 🙂

This was my bad - sorry! 🙈

I reckon in the situation you shared above you should have been able to share a specific item from the sale that you thought was a good deal without it being removed as a duplicate.

It was pretty much just little ol' me handling reports last week and - occasionally - if I noticed a post had been reported by several different people as a duplicate I took it as read and didn't manually check it 🤦‍♂️

I've reinstated your post and your points along with it 🙂 In the future, I won't slack as much!

It’s fine, not to worry. I was just abit confused that’s all. As I knew we could post an individual item from a sale that has been posted about, as many have done it before. So I was confused when my post was removed. Thanks for clearing it up!

Sorry to jump in on your post @jayy but I've just had a similar thing happen - a freebie was posted for free bunches of flowers at Morrisons, for which you needed a More Card and a voucher. I then posted about a different freebie at Morrisons which was 'mum' checkouts and free flowers at the checkout (no voucher or card needed) but it's been removed as a duplicate - are we only allowed to post one freebie at a time per store? Admittedly they are quite similar but I took care on posting to ensure that the title description made it obvious that it was not the same freebie! Kelsey, can you help?

Fixed 👍 Thanks for letting me know.
