Why is Center Parcs so Expensive Now.
Ask a Question
We used to enjoy a break at center parcs when you could get a three night stay for £399 max. Now the cheapest we can find a three night stay is £729.
Why have the prices nearly doubled in a year. It's outrageous. Why are people paying these prices?
Me as well. I would rather go abroad somewhere where I'm guaranteed some sun for that price.
I've only ever heard of it being ridiculously expensive. Was it really £399 a year ago? You could book somewhere abroad all inclusive for 2 weeks including flights for £729. No wonder it's so hard to get people onboard with cutting carbon emissions.
Speaking of the EU, it's hard to believe that Cyprus is part of the EU, it's not even located in the European continent but in the Middle East.
However, the majority of the population are Europeans who speak Cypriot Greek.
At this point the EU will start accepting countries from anywhere once European countries start leaving the organization.
What did you get for £399 and how many adults & kids. What age?
It looks like one of the best ways to save money is to take advantage of midweek term-time prices. I read for example that in November 2018 a four-night mid-week break at the Woburn Forest Center Parcs started at £399 for a family of four, while a three-night weekend break at the same time started at £599.
£729 for three nights is disgusting I've just paid just over £100 to go away abroad for a week and that includes flights and hotel. Always check online for your cheaper deals make sure your 'incognito' is on when your looking on holiday websites
Good shout on the incognito, I did notice a while back prices do go up otherwise if you keep checking on the regular browser.
G0501 typical that holiday got cancelled but deffo keep and eye out online for incognito youll find better deals
Children love it at Centre Parcs, but they can only go in term holidays, so very often can't go there as it's SO expensive. So, I guess it's only the rich families that can go..... The price for the family to go is £2,000 or more, for a 4-bedroomed villa, for 4 nights - not a week.
Reason its so expensive is supply and demand, alot of people will have already booked for this year due to planning on staying in the uk. Bookings will now be going up and prices increasing.
I’ve always found centre parks expensive, especially in peak times. I prefer hoseasons places personally, I find them more reasonable and who doesn’t love a hot tub! Lol
It does appear that many recent contributors to this topic didn't notice that this RESURRECTED topic started over a year ago. The increase in price, referred to, wasn't because of anything that happened in 2020.
I have looked at center parcs a few times over the last 5 or so years and always found it ridiculously expensive
Centre parcs is shocking now, stayed at Whinfell, Longleat late 2008 and they were really amazing.
Brilliant experiences and Food accommodation.
Since 2014 prices ramped up so much now we won’t go anymore as just too darn expensive. Such a shame.
I'm sure Centre parcs are priced at what people will pay so if they start having empty cabins the prices will come down its all about supply and demand. I guess some people now are more concerned about the environment and perhaps they feel more comfortable with such a holiday. Lets also not forget spending money within the UK helps our economy meaning less debt. Taking foreign holidays and buying imported cars is hugely damaging to the economy and so its not really cheaper if you are damaging your own communities meaning less jobs, lower pay rates and more government debt to pay back.
Centre Parks have never been cheap, plus you’re charged for every activity. The food hall soon takes a hefty wad from your wallet too.
All holidays seem to be so so expensive now. It seems that Center Parcs feel they can charge so much due to such popularity.
