Why Does My Drier Say It Full of Water When It Isn't?

Ask a Question

I've noticed my tumble drier has the full water light on when theres not much water in there. Is there something I'm missing?

What do you think of this?

Not enough info. Is it a condenser or tube out the window affair? Is it new or are you used to it?

I hate to say this as it is the most basic answer to your query and I am sure you would have done it.....but have you emptied the water container and/or cleaned the filter?

Check that there isn't any dust / fluff over the water full sensor line. It could be tricking it to think it is full of water, when actually just some fluff!

Have you cleaned the condenser filter as I have one at the bottom of the dryer as well that I have to rinse under the tap

I have never had that particular problem with the tumble drier but it did remind me that my printer says 'paper jam' when there is nothing stuck in it! I think all machinery is programmed to go wrong so that you have to buy a new one (when you probably don't/shouldn't need to). So much for reuse, reduce and recycle!
