Why Do I Only Get News Stories on Facebook Messenger?

Unfortunately Facebook rules mean we can only send deal updates to people who have interacted with our messenger bot in the last 24 hours. We’d love to send more deal updates but Mr Zuckerberg says we can’t

To get deals, just make sure you press a button in Messenger once every 24 hours.

you can let us know if the deals were good or bad; or
you can hit the "Get deals" or "More deals" buttons at the bottom of the message.

Hi lisab76 Thanks for your message.

Unfortunately you have to interact with the bot itself in Messenger by pressing one of the buttons.

Why is it you're allowed to send news daily without interaction, but not deals? How is it any different?

Tom appreciate it isn't your fault, I was just wondering what difference it makes to Facebook. And how can they tell the difference between a deal and news?
