Remember Microsoft's Windows Phone line? They really seemed like they wanted to expand the Windows Phone series but ultimately it was a colossal failure.
Microsoft ended the support this year for their phones but the phones still work, as usual.
Better to go with Android or iOS.

They're great but if someone wants to break and want more than what an iOS officially offers then there's not a whole lot, except for Jailbreak which isn't even as highly desired as it once was. For those that want more, Android is the answer.
