this is the new term that is less offensive than 'woMEN'

Womxn and Womyn are both equally dumb terms. Just as is "Latinx" (in the Americas), might as well call themselves Latin, that is, as long as they are actually of Latin ancestry and not just because they might speak some sort of Spanish or Portuguese.

I know what you mean. I feel sorry for anyone that has to learn the English language right now as it seems very unorderly

I am sick to death of hard-core feminism and pc bs. Glad I am nearer the end of my life than the beginning.

Aren't you lucky. I still have like 60yrs to go before my ticket expires. 😆

Gives me plenty of time to go where I want and more, I suppose.

Rockman if women allow you to and you're not tied to the kitchen sink, arrested for wolf whistling, outnumbered by women due to positive discrimination in the workplace, have to get a woman to sign consent before retiring to the bedroom...........get my drift. And as for identifying as a cat or being gender fluid, raising your kid neither boy or girl......well don't get me started lol.

This whole "womxn" and "latinx" started in US and it's slowly making its way to other countries.

Just.. stop.

I have never found the term woman/women offensive! I think if you want to use the term womxn then that is your choice. It is about respecting people's choices, I wouldn't use it, but wouldn't bother me if others did

How'd you pronounce that, though? Wom-xn? Wom-ex-n? Womukxn? Wom-ix-en?

The English language is being degraded day by day, and so are people with moronic names like Abcde and Hashtag.

Where did you see this new term The Womxn? Seems a bit daft and these days everyone is trying to sound politically correct but it's just a load of tosh honestly.

It was reported quite extensively on gmb a couple of days ago and Piers Morgan got quite irate about it, (as he did about 76 kids in one school identifying as the opposite sex).

it has been bouncing around the news in the last week or so, and I believe it may have gained more prominence when some students demanded that their universities refer to them with the new terms. It is the kind of thing that uni students like to push - they are at that stage in their life where they do want to take a stand and make a difference

I think this womenism gets crazy nowadays...those feminist who want to change all of our life should be judge by the law of humanity....I will never understand how men can be equal with women or the other way around....I am sorry...

Don't apologise, you are right. Why people can't just accept there are two genders is beyond me. We have equality but we will never be the same and not just physically.

Tbh I don’t think that many people want such a change, nor are there that many feminists out there. It’s just that these particular kinds of minority groups are very vocal and bullish with their views. And if changes are made due to listening to the minority, then that’s just plain stupid

AgnesFaludi i appreciate that this brave new world thinks that, but at birth there is only male or female (although mother nature sometimes has a hiccup), what people decide about that gender between birth and death is up to them. However, why do they feel the need to broadcast to all and sundry and why do the majority have to change their lives in order to accommodate the minority? I suppose if they object to woman, the next objection will be feMALE.

hspexy while media keeps airing all these stupid minority group issues they become more relevant and also more devisive. I am all for supporting genuine transgender issues but even they are getting aggressive like the person on gmb who was ranting at Piers because he thought 76 in one school could not be a true representation of kids identifying as the opposite sex. One parent tweeted in and said his own daughter knocked nail on head when she said it isn't cool to be normal. We do not need media swamped with stories of men with two wives, both expecting,or a woman who is in love with her mobile phone and wants to marry it! Nor do we need interviews with couples where the guy feeds the girl and she is over 30stone to please him because that's their thing. Good for them but the world does not need to know!

lynnibis I agree. It’s oike everyone wants to be in the limelight, everyone wants their 5 seconds of fame. For instance, every reality tv shows seem to have contestants that all have sob stories. I can’t watch these kind of things anymore because the value of each story has become meaningless as I've become desensitised to it all

What's wrong saying men and women?

The whole man/woman words derive from human. I guess the word "human" is sexist and needs to be turned to humxn. lol
