Is This the Worst Time of Year
Ask a Question
Many people love November but not me. Cold, wet and miserable and as for the weather I hate it. That’s why I choose to go away in the winter. What do you do to cheer up November or do you love it?
I have to admit I have mixed feelings about November. I was so excited for it last year as I was due to give birth and then I spent 2 weeks in the hospital with my wee man due to complications.
This year I love it again as it's our sons first birthday and I'm finally able to take him out places. Plus I love being able to stay in, all warm, snuggled on the sofa.
My birthday is also in November but I don't really bother with it.
It's not the best time of year. Cold, but often not cold enough to wrap up properly and not look a bit daft, unfortunately. You want the heating on, but want to resist...
Not a fan of the winter months. I don’t mind when it snows, but I hate the chilly days and nights, the lack of sunlight, the wetness...I prefer going away during this time too
I love the winter months and November with the nights getting dark early and the last of the colourful leaves on the tree feels like winter is starting at last My husband on the other hand hates it.
I like winter because I love Christmas and it feels all cosy when you’ve got the decorations up... BUT, because I work in retail, this is a horrible time of year, not because we’re busy, but because it’s a super stressful time, you’re run down, the managers give you nothing but stress, your work load has doubled, the sales are changing constantly, customers are ruder.... so my work makes October and November hellish
I hate cold weather! Put it this way I am cold below 25c so I struggle all year but Winter is the worst!
Plus there is awful Christmas too (no family, don't celebrate)
I think November is one of the worst months of the year, Clocks have gone back, dark nights, usually getting colder and often wet, also nothing really to look forward to in November,
I don't like the winter months either but November is better than January. Surely nobody likes January.
I hate the first few weeks of early nights until I acclimatise. It's the rain I dislike the most. I don't mind the cold or snow, just wet and damp weather.
Haven't been on holiday for a while but I did also used to try and have at least one week somewhere warm this time of year
