Lots of Deals From Yankee Bundles Site
Latest Deals
There seems to be an obsession on here recently with posting virtually every product from the Yankee Bundles website. Some of them are not even as cheap as multi packs in the supermarket and any that are cheaper seem to have very short best before dates which isn't good for cheap chocolate like Cadbury's as it tastes horrible. Has anybody actually bought anything on there out of interest?
I bought 8 270g bags of Orange Smartie Mini Eggs for £10.
Over 2kg of chocolate for a tenner isn't too bad imo. The BBE date is sometime in July.
TheChimp Some deals are good. I have no idea if that one is! It sounds alright because the little bags are about 2 quid full price. The BBE date is only an issue with chocolate for me because I've had stuff like Milk Tray near the date before and it tastes awful. It depends on the product to be honest.
They are genuine and if don’t state the date means will be for long time until expiry date, don’t worry they would state if expiry was soon , otherwise complain
loveglitches that's good to hear I didn't want to end up getting chocolate that's expired or nearly expired its my main concern. Thanks
SalmaS They won't be past the best before date if that's what you're worried about. Most chocolate products on there have a short best before date, just like loveglitches chocolate bars that have July written on them. They are likely to be unsold stock and that's why they are a little bit cheaper than buying in the shops. Tesco were selling those Oreo eggs for 10p each though (they work out as 25p each on Yankee Deals) so it may be worth checking when you're in the supermarket. I have some from Tesco anyway and think (but not sure) they are a seasonal product so the date may be the same on yours as mine. The best before for mine is 31st July. They'll be safe to eat after that too. I just find that some Cadbury chocolate tastes a bit funny when it gets past the best before date. Good luck.
I haven't had any food from there but I have had other goods from them and not had any issues. Some of the deals seem ok for food and I'd definitely give them a go in future.
I got 6 Lindt chocolates for &6 free and quick delivery , lovely chocolates 3x vanilla macaroons and 3 x orange flavour , great deal free postage and quick delivery
I have never bought anything from there. I have been on to have a look and I thought that some things were actually quite expensive. The baby items for example weren't good deals in my opinion.
Dennab When I read this late last night thought it was about candles and wondered where the Cadbury's came into it - chocolate candles lol. Re-read this morning and understand. I've not used them.
lilyflower I actually had to go back and check the name before posting this topic because it also makes me think 'candles' every time I see their deals.
Not bought from them before. I'd assumed they sold Yankee Candles so wondered why they were selling other stuff
I have purchased many things from them but mainly just the candles, fragrances and candle holders. I personally love them and think they are fantastic prices. I share the sweets, chocolates and chewing gum on this site because I know a lot of people like them but I do agree I would be concerned about the sell by date. I think it puts on there. Chocolate can last a lot longer than the BBE it's the sugar that rises that makes it go white and in my opinion make it taste rank.
michellejwest They do sell candles then! Ha! That's exactly my thoughts though with the chocolate. I opened a box of Milk Tray once on the best before date and they even looked ok but tasted off. I have nothing against eating food after a best before date but despite liking Cadbury's, it's cheap chocolate and therefore does not last. You carry on posting away with those deals. If I come on and say it's a crap deal, I'm sure you won't lose sleep at night as nobody should!
Dennab No sleep lost. Any opinion is good as it allows others to make their judgement. Like I said I don't buy the edibles mainly because I don't have a sweet tooth but cracking candle deals.
michellejwest I do have a sweet tooth but will have no teeth if I sign up to that site! I'll keep the candles in mind as I know a few people who enjoy a good candle, thanks.
Here is my latest haul from Yankee Bundles: 5 boxes of Jordans Muesli for £5. I thought that was rather a good deal.
Ceebers I'm sure it's fine for stuff like that if it tastes alright past the best before date. It's the chocolate, Cadbury's in particular that I never see the point in buying because even when it's cheaper than a supermarket (which sometimes it isn't) the best before date is within a month or so usually. Cadbury's is crap quality and therefore tastes like crap after its best before date and sometimes before in my experience.
Oh and I had a bargain six packets of Dorset Cereals they were almost out of date but as it’s all dried mixed fruit and cereals it’s still tastes great. I will buy again If I see them for sale.
