Yankee Candles

Other

Ive got a few yankee candles coming to the end of their life, i get the last bit out and use it as a wax melt but what do people do with the glass jars? I usually throw them out but i see people selling them. What ideas am i missing out on?

I'd like to find out how others get rid of the fragrance from the used jars. I've tried bleach, sterilising solutions and nothing gets rid of the perfume.

LottieMyya Yes to the bicarb but hadn't considered coffee. That's a new one to me but always willing to have a go. 😆

I just made a rather natty little light ornament thingy with a £2 light string and an old Cider bottle - dunno bout you but i think it looks rather jazzy!

Removed the batteries and wired it up to an old usb cable so it now runs off the unused usb port on my old tivo box or youview box!

I just put mine in the recycling. Although mine aren't yankee candle ones, just cheaper candles!

As you get to the end of a candle (especially with jars like the ones Yankee Candle ones come in), you can melt the wax, add a new wax cord and it becomes a whole new candle! I'm saving the jars with the last bits left in and then gonna melt them all and put them in layers to make a new candle out of all the others, it'll have so many different fragranced layers!

I've used some of my empty made for storing tealights, cotton buds/pads, small make up items like lipstick, perfume samples and wax melts. They're just some that I can think of atm
