Do You/would You Ever Pull a Sickie?

Wondering if anyone has taken a "sick day" just to have a day off at home and veg out. I sometimes I feel like I need to have just one day off from work and my kids.
Years ago my then partner insisted I take the day off to attend an air show with him. My boss refused it, so much to my shame I did pull a sickie (the one and only time).
However, the next day I understood why everyone was sniggering at my sunburnt nose, they knew it was the result of staring up at the aeroplanes all day!
I don't know about the future, but it's not something I've done before. Plus, I've only taken a few real sick days off in the past.
This is the same as me. I've been wondering if it's just me snf it'd something most people do.
