Yusuf (Cat Stevens) -Re Recording Tea for the Tillerman Album

In the News

Releasing in September . An iconic album from the early seventies when music was music and defined the youth of many of us of a certain age https://metro.co.uk/2020/05/29/yusuf-cat-stevens-re-record-tea-tillerman-50-years-original-release-was-like-destiny-waiting-happen-12775101/

Never heard of it ? How about "Father and Son" , "Wild World" , "Where do the Children Play "

I had all the Cat Stevens Albums at one time and a couple under his present name Yusuf .

I'll certainly be getting this one " Tea for the Tillerman 2 "

Ah nice! Thanks for sharing.

I remember listening to various Cat Stevens albums as a kid. My Mum is a big fan and it rubbed off on me! Hoping he tours at some point as would be keen to get tickets.

He inspired me to start playing the guitar, sadly I never got past the level of Old Macdonald 😁

Part of my youth when songs had meaning and told stories . Be interesting to hear how he reworks it 50 years on . Judging by his recent ish songs as Yusuf the voice is still holding up well .

For those of more tender years just ask "Alexa" or "google " to play "Where do the children play " or "Father and son " by Cat Stevens .

Remarkable and weirdly relevant songs today recorded 50 years ago before all the computerised enhancement gizmos we have on songs these days . Just a bloke in a room with a guitar and mike and a couple of backing singers .
