Porthleven is a historic fishing village and the most southerly port in the UK. It is located facing the Atlantic Ocean with the Lizard peninsula to the west – with incredible scenery in both directions. Outdoor enthusiasts can try stand-up paddleboarding or kayaking, or venture out on two wheels on the bike trails around the nearby National Trust Penrose Estate.
There are plenty of beaches and cliff walks in the area, as well as nearby local Cornish attractions. In winter, cosy up next to the fire in the local pub and watch the storms rage over the harbour walls. Porthleven has made its mark for outstanding food with award-winning restaurants such as Rick Stein Seafood and Kota Kai, and also has plenty of lovely cafés to choose from. There is truly something for everyone.
Porthleven Holiday Cottages has more than 15 years’ experience in creating memorable Cornish holidays, and with knowledgeable local staff, you can be sure of a warm welcome and great personal service.
