Were we choosing our desert island skincare must haves, Aurelia would certainly be on the shortlist. When it launched in 2013, this British brand entered our Beauty Bible Awards with its five original products – and swept the board. Our diligent and very choosy panels of testers voted each exquisite natural product into the top scorers. And, here at BB HQ, we were so impressed by Aurelia that we created a new ‘Beauty Bible Award for Best New Brand’ in their honour.

The Cell Revitalise Night Moisturiser notched up one of the highest scores in Beauty Bible history, an average of 9.5/10 across the panel (just do the math – that’s stellar). It gained a ‘5-star rating from one tester; skin firmer, fine lines plumper and my husband asked if I had changed my skincare because he said my skin looked amazing!’ (And husbands, in our experience, are usually the last ones to notice…)

In the Face Savers category, Revitalise & Glow Serum blew testers away with its performance. One reported that she felt ‘ten years younger when I’ve applied this’. That was borne out by another whose young work colleague guessed she was a decade younger than the truth… And Glow could just be the thing for anyone who has builders around; ‘it made my face feel fresher instantly and appear more radiant, especially during our building work when I was surrounded by dust!’

Six years on and Aurelia is a major player in the global market but, to our delight and admiration, the key personnel are the same as are their core values.
