You could win your idea drawn by iconic illustrator Nick Sharratt, plus a year’s supply of tasty BEAR Alphabites cereal, signed copies of You Choose and You Choose in Space and a great big bundle of other Puffin Books!
Please note this competition is open to children aged 12 and under, and a parent, guardian or teacher will need to enter on the child’s behalf.
All you have to do is use your imagination and draw a character or submit a very short story (maximum of 300 words). We recommend drawing a character for littler ones (under 6), and writing down your story for older ones (age 6-12) – but both categories are open to all. Pippa Goodhart and Nick Sharratt will be judging the shortlist and picking their favourite from each age category.
Your story can be anything you like – we won’t be judging on handwriting – we’ll be looking for creativity and imagination! And for drawing your character we will also be looking for the most creative entries. This can be a character from a story you’ve made up in your head, a creature or an imaginary person you might like to be friends with. Remember to give your character a name!
If you’d like a helping hand with getting your story or character drawing started, check out these BEARilliant activity sheets to give you some helpful pointers along the way!
