We’re giving away a night for two at The Grove, including supper, use of the Sequoia spa and breakfast the following morning
The winner and a guest will check into a recently renovated Deluxe Garden View bedroom at The Grove hotel, set in 300 acres of Hertfordshire countryside.
The Grade II-listed former home of the Earls of Clarendon, a 20-minute train journey from London Euston, has been meticulously reworked by Martin Hulbert, the British designer behind facelifts at grandes dames Chewton Glen and Cliveden. Set in the modern West Wing, the room has views of the gardens, a velvet sofa and statement headboard.
Supper will be served at The Glasshouse restaurant, with £50 credit at the bar to spend on classic cocktails such as Negronis or Daiquiris. The chefs will create à la carte dishes in front of you, from slow-braised lamb shoulder with Kalamata olives to vegan Wellington with beetroot chutney.
Also included in the prize is breakfast the following morning, either at The Glasshouse or brought to your room: order a hearty full English or fluffy pancakes and waffles served with lashings of Nutella or maple syrup.
Throughout the stay, the prizewinner and their guest will have access to the hotel’s recently refurbished Lounges as well as Sequoia spa. There’s a sense of tranquility in the black mosaic-tiled pool, sauna and steam room and specialist treatment options are available. The prize is valid within 12 months of issue date.
This competition closes on Thursday 3 June 2021.
