We’re offering you the chance to scoop tickets that money can no longer buy.
Tickets to climb aboard the British Airways’ (BA) retro Landor-schemed 747-400 G-BNLY for the first time since its retirement have sold out but there’s still a chance to be there, thanks to Aviation News and aviation events firm Threshold.aero
We’ve teamed up to provide two tickets to the experience, which culminates in a sunset/dusk photoshoot, planned for June 26 at Dunsfold, Surrey. The programme includes daytime opportunities to board the Rolls-Royce RB211-powered jet and access to former 32 (The Royal) Squadron British Aerospace BAe 125 CC.3 ZE395.
Retired to Dunsfold on December 5 last year, G-BNLY was one of three 747s given a retro scheme to celebrate 100 years of British Airways. Formerly based at Heathrow, it was among 31 of the type that the carrier withdrew from its fleet last July, as the COVID-19 pandemic crippled the aviation sector.
