tumblespots Hope that you get a little relief. It's been a nightmare here. Our son had numbness down one side and it was found he'd had a small stroke. The next day, his heart rate went through the roof and he was blue-lighted to hospital. They couldn't find the reason at first and kept him wired up in resus "Just in case he crashes". His temperature began to rise and they discovered that he had the flu coming on. Luckily, his brain hasn't received any damage that can't be recovered, just three small bleeds, and he will have to attend the TIA clinic to prevent future events. A great start to the year!
AlysonC OMG that's terrifying for you, I do hope that he does make a full recovery. I take it he is still in the H at the moment, or have they let him out?
tumblespots No, he's at home recovering. The hospitals are full of people who are suffering from the flu apparently. They say that it's the worst outbreak they have ever experienced. I wonder if we have been weakened by Covid?
AlysonC It does seem as if that must be the case, let's hope it doesn't continue in a downward spiral. As you know I have picked up more than usual this winter and I hardly go anywhere to pick bugs up! I am sending you all the good wishes I can find and hope that he improves day by day.
