The Doyle Collection and Condé Nast Traveller are giving away a two-night city staycation at The Bloomsbury Hotel, plus afternoon tea at The Kensington and supper at The Marylebone
In the heart of bookish Bloomsbury, one of London’s prettiest neighbourhoods and on the edge of thrumming Soho, The Bloomsbury is both a splendid oasis and launchpad for exploring the capital. The handsome Georgian building has eclectic interiors: the flamboyant Coral Room bar is a riot of colour from Martin Brudnizki and Luke Edward Hall; the foliage-clad Dalloway Terrace is a snug outdoor spot for cocktails; and the bedrooms, with their Art Deco-style headboards, moody lighting and marble bathrooms, are lavish hideaways from the buzz downstairs.
The winner and a guest will enjoy two nights at The Bloomsbury in a suite of their choice, with breakfast included on both mornings and supper at Dalloway Terrace on one evening – menu standouts are the Dorset crab on toast and Hereford fillet steak, great with an amaretto or English sparkling wine.
Courtesy of The Doyle Collection’s other London stays, the prize also covers afternoon tea at The Kensington – more like a smart private home spanning four townhouses – and supper at The Marylebone’s 108 Brasserie, a fresh and contemporary foodie hangout with a heated outdoor space and dishes such as miso-blackened cod with Asian greens and the signature 108 burger with cave-aged Cheddar and crispy bacon. All three hotels are well placed for discovering the surrounding neighbourhoods, with their lesser-known shops, cafés and museums. The winner and a guest can choose their staycation itinerary, with transfers between the Doyle Collection hotels included in the prize.
This competition closes on 10 December 2020. The prize is valid until 31 December 2021.
