What is PayPal Credit?

Think of it as credit without a card. If approved, you’ll get a credit line in your PayPal account that can be used straight away. This could be to access monthly offers, or just to use as one of your payment options for eBay purchases.

What happens if I have more than one item in my basket?

If you are using an instalment or other promotional offer, this offer applies to the total purchase amount including postage and packaging so you can have as many items in your basket as you like.

What if I don’t have a PayPal account?

The first stage of the PayPal Credit application process will ask you to sign into your PayPal account, or offer you the opportunity to sign up for one. Once you’ve signed up for a PayPal account, you can begin the application for PayPal Credit.

Signing up for a PayPal account is free and easy; all you need to do is provide your email address, create a password and accept our User Agreement.

If the seller ships some of your items before others, PayPal Credit may split your instalment or promotional offer on a per-item basis. The purchase amount and monthly instalment amount may change if you or the seller amend your order, such as adding additional delivery charges or applicable taxes.

How do I make payments?

You can make a one-off repayment from your bank account, debit card or PayPal balance at any time, either online or by calling PayPal Customer Service. Alternatively, you can set up monthly Direct Debit payments from a bank account you've linked to your PayPal account. To set up Direct Debit payments, log in to your PayPal account and follow the instructions on the Make a Payment page.
