Another laptop where the overall spec seems decent for the money and then you realise the Intel N5100 is a Celeron class chip with fairly limited performance in both CPU and GPU. Intel N5100 laptops go sub £100 easily on ebay but may not have 16GB of memory and 512GB of storage but do you really need 16GB of memory when the CPU has such weak performance? Also 1080p screen is great but it requires more GPU performance and would be more laggy here due to the weaker GPU. You probably need a chipset 2-3x the performance of this to justify 16GB of memory. It's not capable of doing video editing at a decent speed and certainly won't run the most ambitious PC games. This laptop was never worth £499. £299 would seem about right for high pricing for this spec. If it only had 4GB of memory and a 128GB drive you would expect it to retail around £179 give or take.
