I haven't tried these but have with other products and even candles n such .some are hit and miss but if like me your not a brand snob will worth trying .thank you

The Fajita kit looks too close for comfort and very similar to the original brand packaging which really shouldn't be allowed and illegal in many countries. The only product I've tried there is the microwave vegetable rice and it isn't very nice. A very cheap tasting product despite its attractive packaging. I've not tried the Uncle Ben version and it could taste the same but suspect the Uncle Ben version will be nicer but have absolutely nothing to back that up just that the Lidl version isn't very nice. However at 49p I'm sure that is a few pence cheaper than other supermarkets so its a competitive price for a very low quality product I would say. Personally I'd rather they just sold it in their 'simple' packaging for a few pence less as it doesn't really deserve this more glossy packaging as the quality is so low.
That is one of the things that irritates me with Lidl they often have cheap generic food with better packaging trying to make you think you are getting a higher quality product but then when you try it you know its just the same generic food that other supermarkets sell with simpler packaging sometimes at lower cost. I don't need a tin of beans to pretend its heinz beans I actually prefer the generic beans to Heinz anyway and have no problem with generic baked beans from any supermarket they are all equally good to me.
