Thanks, going to Mexico and don't want to take my phone, this will be great for taking lots of photos as I usually use my phone.
Just be a little careful. I very much doubt it will be a genuine 4K sensor, likely to be upscaled. No reviews and the brand name is two Chinese letters. It will probably do decent enough Full HD (1080p) though. So if you’re wanting to do 4K I’d look elsewhere. I’ve had plenty of experience with cheap Chinese Action Cams stating they’re 4K when they’re just upscaled 1080p. As with all electronics do some research on YouTube etc rather than trust reviews. That said, for £30 it could be a decent camera for the usual 1080p Full HD videos.
Which ever Chinese trade house has bought this batch of action cameras to resell in the west didn't even bother to ask for a brand to be used. That's pretty generic to say the least. You might be able to identify the factory spec by finding another branded model that looks identical. Maybe the 4k logo, buttons and sockets are very similar to another model. It's got EIS and an external microphone socket so not bargain basement spec but they don't give a clue about the sensor or chipset. Like Andy I would assume fake 4k and likely 16MP too. Maybe a Novatech chipset with a Sony or similar 8MP sensor. That is a very common cheap combination that can provide basic EIS.
