90 degrees is actually a very poor field of view. Most action cameras are at 170 degrees and you also get super wide models at 180 degrees or more. 90 degrees will limit what the camera can see and make video seem more jerky as its a small area.
I don't know much about cameras but would this be ok for a first camera for my 10 year old he's asked for one for Xmas so he can put it on his bike if not I will send it back
MarieWheeler Those sort of cameras are very basic and generally poor quality. If you are willing to pay the extra this one at ebay is actually very decent and even has basic stabilisation and comes with a multitude of accessories. Yes its £20 not £8.99 though.

If you do go for this camera turn the gyroscope on and choose the 1080p 60fps mode for best results. It comes with a bicycle bracket although you do get better results with a chest mount.
Saying that the £8.99 will work but understand they are only about 480p and give a very poor image, a tiny field of view and without stabilisation videos will be full of judder. It's funny how they put 'Pro' in the title when its the complete opposite of that.
There is another one here at £12.

This would be far better quality than the Range model as true 1080p, it doesn't have stabilisation but the wide field of view will make it look more stabilised than the Range model. I'd strongly recommend this as the minimum quality to buy as likely not to be happy with the Range model.
