You may remember Patisserie Valerie went bust in the summer. It was
recently acquired out of administration by Causeway Capital, AF Blakemore and coffee chain the Department of Coffee and Social Affairs for about £15 million, and is now under new management.
Whilst your Buy A Gift Voucher is valid for months, personally I intend to use mine pretty quickly in November in Winchester, when we go to the famous Winchester Cathedral Christmas Market...just in case there's further financial troubles ahead.
Only worth about £10, sandwiches are bland, scones were awful, dry as the desert, the only thing that saved it was the cake!

Oh dear. Which branch did you go to, and when?
Before the new management took over in July Patisserie Valerie were (for example) using margarine instead of butter to make puff pastry in order to cut costs.
That's no longer the case.
I hope the new owners can bring Patisserie Valerie back to its former glory. It was great when it was good.

I used to be a manger for them in the old days and we had the best cakes around,
it’s sad what’s happened and lots of great people have lost there Jobs 
nothing is safe anymore
