Is this site safe to shop from ? Trust pilot doesn't say so.. I'm not sure... please reach check let me know. Great deals though but doubtful.
SanaAkhtar I have ordered some items from aliexpress. They are cheap and so is the quality. You can use PayPal as ur payment method which is safe.
SanaAkhtar I buy from there pretty often. They're really good as long as you aren't expecting anything to be high quality. It's cheap because it's made cheaply but you can find some really good buys as long as you don't mind the delivery time.
SanaAkhtar No. Avoid AliExpress its chinese crap and you will be stung with import charges and stuff that doesnt work.
Does anyone know how long delivery takes. I'm assuming that the products come from China or the US, am I correct?
williamrowlands last year everything changed. And delivery takes 2-3 months if parcel didn't get lost. Also shipping became from and from its huge . Now you can find a deal at Amazon with +/- same price and get it tomorrow. Fake reviews, bad quality, wrong sizes (clothes and shoes, even if you measure in cm/inc) horrible smell from the producs. Dosent worth that, that's my opinio
Amazon are the best
mathewefford agreed even you can find much better offers eBay than Amazon.
mathewefford thanks for you reply/advice.
I think it's better to stay with companies you know and legit.
williamrowlands Ignore the people leaving bad reviews for AliExpress, that don't use AliExpress.
I've placed over 100 orders. Only ever had 2 not arrive. These were refunded with 24 hours.
Delivery times are fairly wild. I've had some arrive within a week and others 5-6 weeks.
They have warehouses outside of China too though, so pick a warehouse in the EU for faster delivery.
Depends, some arrive in few weeks, sometimes can take months. If u are not desperate for the product. I use them a lot, if delivery is more expensive I buy few of the item for same price delivery and give away
Thanks for sharing. Is this offer only for new customers? This site is safe and if u have a problem u can talk to CS.
I use them quite often, and as other users say, the delivery times vary from one week to 8 weeks, and you do have to find the trusted sellers otherwise they sometime just cancel the order, but i have always been refunded. I use them to buy speed cubes for my kids, and we can get them between 25% and 75% cheaper (usually) than they are being sold in the UK. Also my advise is not to necessarily use the cheapest seller, sometimes it is worth the extra 30p-50p per item to get them from a more reliable seller. Another thing, you can change the postage as well, and again it is usually only a few pence more to get it sent on a 4 week delivery rather than a 8-10 week delivery, so i usually pick this option too.
itsjustaname Depends what you need, I found the prices to be pretty decent for the programable ones, plus many sell the 5m lights for Β£2 or less, which I'd personally call a bargain.
Definitely will be checking this out can't go wrong thanks for sharing this excellent deal
Have to laugh at the mixed reviews on here. Buy, don't buy? Personally, I have never bought off this site. (Too many bad stories, but if your payment is protected, what's the problem?)
I just can't justify waiting 2-3 months for some Chinese or whatever countries dreck to come through.
There are mixed reviews ..
But rule of a thumb, if any supplier or vendor is sliding down on reviews, then it's up to the buyer's choice, to decide - whether it's worth the hassle...
The below shots are from 'Trustpilot', if that helps anyone .
The Alibaba group including AliExpress has 8.4% of the global market for e-commerce, 53% within China, 180'000 staff, a trillion dollars worth of sales per year, and is world number 2 behind Amazon. Yes they are legit :p
AliExpress is great. I've been using it for years. They are the consumer side of www.alibaba.com/ who sell goods in bulk.
Honestly if you have not heard of or don't trust them, you must have been living in a cave.
I've used them a lot. Occasionally you get issues and their customer service can be horrific. I've often had to get refunds through my credit card rather than through aliexpress itself who basically just said return the item to China at your own expense for a refund but of course sending stuff to China is a complete non-starter the costs are higher than the product itself.
Also recently I bought a li-ion battery pack and it was Β£80 plus VAT and its fine, took about 3-4 weeks to arrive but looking on the site now its Β£120 plus VAT. Also I ordered a ebike battery charger which was Β£7.14 plus VAT and now Β£13 plus VAT. So maybe this so called Anniversary Sale has meant a large increase in prices for some items. Always worth spending some time on ebay, Amazon, Aliexpress etc to find the best deal. A 5 minute look might get you a price of Β£8 but spend another 10 minutes and you may find someone else selling at Β£6 etc.
I have used the site many times. Some items arrive really quick others can take a long time. Always pay via PayPal for buyers protectio.
