Amazon Prime for £59 Instead of £79 for New or Switching Customers

This is great especially as existing customers can get it if you're paying monthly.

Just swapped mine from monthly! Best thing is ive already paid this month so they dont take payment until its due next month. Thought it would activate straight away and loose this month so am very happy Thanks

Thank you switched from monthly to this and they refunded me £7.99 also as they took it out few days ago

Damn is there no way to extend a current 12 month with this price mine expires next month.

So can I pay the £59 over a monthly term?

I've been with Amazon prime for several years. I always pay yearly. Am I entitled to get anything back .I paid the full amount.

I just contacted them and was told that if you do not see it on your account page then you are not eligible and they cannot do anything about that.

thats great! As a monthly customer I actually pay £95 for a year so its more than a £20 saving :-)

Oh nooooo ... just realised I pay upfront so I'm not eligible! That seems barmy-not looking after the really committed Prime member. Am going to contact them and be cheeky....will report back if successful!

I think I'll cancel the yearly subscription I pay if I'm not going to get the cheaper price, don't see why we should pay more than anyone else, they've had my money upfront every year for years

Thanks just swapped from monthly to yearly first payment not due till 1/8 just worked out it is a massive saving compared to monthly payment.

Brilliant in currently paying £7.99 a month but paying £59 upfront means I'm saving £35.98 a year. nice one.

I changed my monthly subscription this afternoon and got my mums changed too saving around £80.

I 'live chatted' earlier as I'm a fully paid Prime member and so not eligible.... Amazon rep responded ' I could see that your Prime membership is active in your account. That's a reason you are unable to avail this promotion.

Thanks very much, took advantage of this deal and now I dont have to worry about that payment for 12months. I will be putting a note in my calendar though to make sure I change it before it renews as I'm not sure I'll have it in the account ready!

Great deal for anyone wanting a yearly Prime membership (unless you have Student Prime). They really need to look after their loyal customers though and give them the same deal.

i love amazon and order almost daily from them but this is very annoying to loyal paid up front customers like me, my sub expires in december so not sure what my options are to cancel and resubscribe, seems like a lot of effort and i dont want to use diff email address etc, i just wish companies would value their loyal customers more rather than treating new customers to discounts, not just Amazon who do this of course, rant over!!

I'm fed up of never being eligible for offers being someone who has been with Prime since 2012, spend a fortune and pay annually.

I pay annually in advance so am not eligible. This is as bad as the reward you get from Sky if you are a loyal customer. I am tempted to cancel my prime and make the lower payment when I set it up again.

Not happy :-/ Just keeps saying that prime isn’t available for my postcode WA4. I already pay monthly for prime and use it all the time? Any suggestions?? Thanks.
