I paid about double this for one of these sharpeners, so I can recommend them for most people, they do a great job of sharpening a dull blade. I wouldn't use it on high end knives as it will shorten their lifespan, given the amount of metal it strips off. As a user of Victorinox knives, a shorter lifespan is a price I'm prepared to pay to have sharp knives for very little effort.

All sharpeners reduce knife life, but this device actually puts a great edge on your blade and it lasts. Even Global which are difficult to keep keen. Great price.
