Recommended! Gears were a bit 'out' but sorted, otherwise great spec for the money. With that gearing, won't go zippy-fast, but ~will~ get you up steep(ish) hills with no problem. Good hydraulic brakes, lightweight alloy frame, decent-sized tyres, front suspension (with lockout-button, so you're not wasting energy on flat roads). Simple 10-speed system, no messing with levers for front and rear gears to arrive at the one you want. Add some lights & maybe mudguards for another c. £20 to £40 and you're set to go!
It's great value but should be pointed out its just fairly low end zoom suspension and the components are sunrace/microshift/micronew so sub Shimano and SRAM. Still a good price for sure but don't think you'll be shredding on it you'll likely need to upgrade the forks to do that as the very minimum requirement. Also its low geared and the frame is only designed for a 1x fairly small front chainring so don't think this is an ideal commuting bike (unless you don't mind the slower speed).
