The Best Vegan Cook Books

Available from Amazon
Comment1

Veganuary is here once again, and it seems like more and more of us are embracing this plant-based lifestyle, and discovering a new style of cooking along the way. You can definitely get creative in the kitchen this month, and you may even find some of the vegan recipes you discover become a part of your normal weekly rotation!

There are some great recipes available for free on the BBC Good Food website (the vegan banana bread is particularly appropriate for lockdown!), but some of the most exciting and unusual recipes can be found in cookbooks.

Just because you're going vegan, doesn't mean you suddenly need to live off salad and kale. Instead, you can dive in and discover thousands of new recipes. Explore vegan takes on your favourite classics, recipes from foreign cuisines, and dreamy plant-based desserts, there are so many delicious dishes just waiting for you to try.

Below I've done a round up of some of my top picks for vegan cook books. I've had a search and found the 'best' in various categories, so hopefully you'll find something to suit you, your family, your lifestyle and your budget!

Best - Of The Best

The books below seem to get a lot of praise online. Crowd pleasers with a good range of recipes, if you're not looking for anything in particular, you might like the sound of them. They've both got a lot of Amazon reviews so you can do your research and make sure they're the right pick for you, and I've included a couple of stand out recipes that might just tempt you.

Vegan for Everybody - Was £25.00 Now £18.99

- Though this definitely isn't the cheapest book on the list, Vegan for Everybody comes chock full of more than 200 recipes, with recipes that will see you through breakfast, lunch and dinner. This book has some really tasty sounding dishes, including Baja Style Cauliflower Tacos and Pesto Pizza with Fennel and Cauliflower, to name a few - if they sound appealing it might be worth checking this one out!

Lucy Watson: Feed Me Vegan - Was £18.99 Now £12.99

- Winner of PETA's Best Vegan Cookbook 2017, Feed Me Vegan has some really delicious sounding, comforting recipes. The aim of this book is to show you that just because you're eating plant-based, you can still indulge and treat yourself with delicious food.
