The offer ends 30th September so if you are planning on buying stuff from Amazon, it's a great way to get a bit extra on top. The things you buy MUST be supplied and fulfilled by Amazon to use the credit though, not 3rd party sellers.
This is offer is open to EVERYONE and you don't need Prime, just make sure you use a VISA devit or credit card to top up and the item you want to buy is sold by Amazon

Just tried it about 30 minutes ago and it worked. It looks like the extra £5 will only be available when you buy something sold by Amazon.
I think you must meet some conditions to get this £5 bonus (for eg. you must apply first time to get it)
I have taken advantage of a similar deal before but received a little more. It's definitely worth doing if you have something you are going to purchase.
Thanks for posting BargainKing I have added some more info and the terms and conditions
Yesterday I started a text chat with Amazon Customer Service to check if I would get this extra £5 if I topped up as the deal instructs. To my surprise the customer service advisor not only said I was eligible, she immediately gave me the £5 without me needing to buy the £50 top up. I didn't ask any questions, but I believe that this happened because several weeks ago I purchased a £50 using my Visa debit card, which is also my default payment card. So if you already have Visa as a default payment card and you recently purchased a top up of £50 or more then it might be worth your time contacting Amazon customer service.
EricsGoodDeals yes i did not long ago if u top up £80 u get a free £5 so maybe it should work for me then .. What did u say in the chat for her to give u the £5 without topping up
Erikacp94 I said something along the lines of
"I would like to check with you if I am eligible for this offer please *link to the offer page*"
While she was checking it she asked how I was doing and I said I wasn't having a great day, not sure if that made any difference though.
Did you buy your top up using a Visa card?
It doesn't hurt to be very nice to them, which they deserve anyway as Amazon has the best customer service I have ever experienced (John Lewis also).
Now I think back to it her responses seemed to indicate she wasn't having a great day herself and it's possible she just wanted to do something nice for someone. Or maybe I was just in the right place at the right time.
However I have herd stories of Amazon Customer Service usually doing nice stuff like this so it's definitely worth a try, just don't be too disappointed if you find out you have to buy the £50 top up.
EricsGoodDeals OK thank you so much he's i sis my last top up with my visa so basically i just ask if im eligible and then about the one i topped up with last time and see how it goes x
You can ONLY Get the £5 Voucher if you have spent £50 on items that are Sold BY AMAZON, NOT Purchased On Amazon, also what You BUY from Amazon has to be SOLD BY Amazon not sold THROUGH Amazon, Amazon must always be the SELLER...
But if you are buying something sold By Amazon for over £50 & want to buy something Else sold BY Amazon for £5+ then... Its a good offer, for me last year i had trouble finding anything i wanted for over £50 that i actually wanted or needed..
I got the £5 but until now I had no idea if I had spent £50 on items "Dispatched from and sold by Amazon", looking at my orders I now see that I have.
Either way I think it's worthwhile contacting Customer Service to check.
Nope ! You ensure your default card is set to your Visa Card (credit or debit ) buy a £50 Amazon Gift card.
Then shortly afterwards you receive an email notifying you that you have a £5 bonus (automatically redeemed against items sold by Amazon ) .
The Gift card can be used on anything (including marketplace ) , the £5 bonus voucher only on items sold by Amazon . Is that clear enough ?
Thx for sharing this :-) Great deal only works when you buy something sold by Amazon themselves .
Only worth doing if you are going to be spending that amount anyway, and also if you meet the criteria regarding what you can purchase from where. I also note, that there was only a short time spending limit on the additional £5.00 voucher.
So if you abide by the restrictions, a free fiver is most welcome!
But it appears you would need to buy your Christmas presents in September to benefit " The discount voucher can be used on www.amazon.co.uk until 23:59 on 30/09/2020 and will be automatically deducted from the next purchase on www.amazon.co.uk". So you've not missed much
Have topped up my account now with £50 with VISA card. Great find. Thanks for posting this deal

I am always shopping on Amazon so this Free £5.00 voucher will help. Thank you for sharing.
Deal is worth it as there'll be something I'll buy from Amazon by November 2020. But I better make sure I use it buy November 2020 on Amazon specific deals as small print states. Always a catch!
