What do you think of this Amazon deal?+20 points

WARNING: Check some of the recent Amazon reviews like the ones below - the contents are available in the supermarkets for £7! It's not being sold by Cadbury's but by HEMINGWAYS GROUP HOLDINGS LIMITED, Ripon

Very disappointed in this product! I could buy all of these separately for £7 and it cost me £14! Do not buy

My niece bought this for my daughter and the contents are worth about £7

This set itself is £10 on the Cadbury website

Thanks for the warning, it does seem a bit expensive, there are lots of deals for Cadbury products at the moment so worth checking the prices first

Thank you for posting this, otherwise I would have purchase this for my son. I think I will definitely buy chocolate separately & make up my own chocolate box.

Stevo1283 really? You can all these items considerably cheaper elsewhere or go direct to Cadburys website. I have to say the standard of 'deals' on this site is poor compared to your competitors!

ivesy I have to agree with that. I love LD, but I think that some people on here are easily impressed. If this is a great deal, then I dread to think what those people consider to be a poor one.

In reality there really isn't all that much chocolate there. Just been made to look that way.

RegularComper90 look at the reviews on here. All badly written by Chinese Bots in order to make people think it is a good deal

Probably none once you realise you're paying £14 for around £7 of chocolate......

jimmynail You seem to be the one making the fake comments for some reason! Check the prices and you'll see what a rip-off this is - though I imagine you know that very well.

I think it looks great thanks for the share. Dont understand why people need to be soo mean for.

People aren't being mean, though - they're actually trying to point out to others who may not have noticed that £14 is actually rather a lot to pay for £7 worth of chocolate bars. 😀

By slagging people off? I think the word for that us mean! Even bullying doct

Like
RegularComper90

Ireland230 I see no bullying on here. Just people giving their own opinions. If anything, people are slagging off the seller not the OP. Disagreeing with someone or something doesn't make that person mean or a bully.

Telling people to go to specsavers is slagging people off RegularComper90

Wow ok everyone, thanks for opinions lol. I personally think its ok as it comes boxed in caburys box but yeah definitely you could make it yourself cheaper and buy your own nice little gift box 🎁 to put them in.

Morning everyone!

I'm going to close the comments on this now as it seems to have gone somewhat off topic from the original post. We will of course leave the existing comments up that critique the deal. A core part of Latest Deals is that members can provide honest feedback on whether or not they think a deal is good value. That said, we do always ask people do so politely so please keep that in mind 🙂

jimmynail whilst you're are very welcome to have your own opinion I can assure you Latest Deals does not write or hire people to write fake comments or reviews.

We have a whole breadth of people on Latest Deals, not just avid deal hunters, and so the opinions on posts can vary significantly. I will acknowledge that Latest Deal's unique rewards (the points system, designed to give back to the community) can potentially encourage some members to write repetitively. We have systems in place to mitigate this but if you ever spot a member who you think is leaving consistently the same or nonsensical comments then please do let us know so that we can investigate. "Gaming" the points system is against our guidelines. The correct channel is to do this via our contact form - any accusatory comments calling people out will be removed as ultimately they very rarely end up in a productive discussion. Whilst it may not be what you think right now, please be open to the possibility that the people you perceive as "bots" or "fake" are actually genuine members and so such comments could easily be construed as offensive.

I hope that all makes sense for anyone reading and you can understand the balancing act of open discussion and moderation that we try and walk. If anyone has any questions please use the contact form - we're always happy to clarify anything 🙂
