Just had one of these nicked 2 weeks ago, only had it 3 days. The Hellcat II LTD. Was locked up in Middlesbrough shopping square for a tad over 30 mins at 4pm. Only went to 2 shops and it was gone. CCTV right above the bike rack....which was pointing towards Wilko's doorway even though the staff said bikes always get nicked from that rack. I was furious, do Wilko pay extra for out council tax funds to cover their security?
Anyway, an awesome bike, Carreras are about the best bang for buck for the average person money can buy. The hydrolic (ignore the spelling) brakes on the one I had were a massive improvement over the cable disc brakes of the Vulcan, again another great bike for reasonable money. Looks like this one also has mechanical disc brakes, if you can get the second version in the sale with Hydrolchic brakes instead then go for it, the difference is massive once you try them.
Also 29" wheels are another massive plus point. I have been riding 26" wheels for the last few years and never thought about anything bigger, I was happy with what I had and I do a good 100-200 miles per week on average. Then I tried the 29" and wow. You can cover a much larger distance with the same effort due to the wheel size, so take that into consideration when buying. I am only 5'7" on tip toes and a 20" Hellcat with 19" wheels was a nice ride for me.
