Dragon Quest VII: Reimagined for Nintendo Switch

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined for Nintendo Switch is available for £29.99 (was £49.99) — save £20. This reworked edition takes the original's long-form JRPG story and presents it with diorama-style visuals, updated systems and a streamlined narrative.

A quick overview:

• Play as a young fisherman’s son from Estard who uncovers the Shrine of Mysteries and travels between past and present to restore sealed islands.
• Visuals combine charming diorama environments with Akira Toriyama’s character designs for a colourful, storybook look.
• Story is told through vignettes with the main plot tightened to be more accessible to new players while retaining emotional beats for returning fans.
• Combat retains classic turn-based mechanics but adds new vocational perks, battle-speed options, an auto-battle mode and pre-emptive/instant defeat mechanics for weaker foes.
• New “Moonlighting” system lets characters level two vocations simultaneously to mix skills, spells and perks.

Platform: Nintendo Switch. Suitable for both series newcomers and long-time fans.
