I bought this carpet shampooer from my Worthing store on 2 September this year, and on only its second use when I switched it on it made a strange loud noise and clouds of smoke billowed out of the bottom of the machine, clearly dangerous. The smell was so awful I had to open all the upstairs windows. I've just read some similar Amazon reviews and will be returning the machine to my store today.
