This hard to find foxglove is an absolute gem! Small and compact it is a dwarf variety which has downy, silvery foliage which is very unusual to find in foxglove plants. The full name of Silver Fox is Digitalis purpurea subsp. heywoodii 'Silver Fox', and it is derived from native Foxgloves that can be found in woodlands across Europe. Like most Foxgloves they are perfect in the middle to back of ornamental borders, they'll make a fantastic show with their tall flowering spires.
Digitalis 'Silver Fox' is an unusual foxglove, it has silvery foliage coated in a thick layer of soft hair, similar to lamb's ears (Stachys byzantina). The flowers are creamy white and flushed with pink. These are a very elegant neat plant which are a sought after delight for your garden. Digitalis 'Silver Fox' is ideal for growing in a mixed herbaceous border in full sun to full shade. Supplied in approx 2-3 litre containers. READ MORE
